Better than expected
Honestly thought Phat Diem Cathedral would be a tourist trap, but it really delivered. Highlight of our days in Ninh Binh.

Great for families
Took the kids to Phat Diem Cathedral and they loved it. Plenty of space, lots to see, and reasonable prices. Will come back.

Crowded but unforgettable
Yes it's busy, but Phat Diem Cathedral is busy for a reason. Stay 1, 2 hours, bring small cash, and try the local food nearby.
